I finally found my powder pink lipstick! I had been looking for a 1960s style pink lipstick, or at least the color I perceive lipstick in the movies I watch. After searching for that perfect shade of pink I finally found it at Topshop rightly called a ‘lipstick’ in Coy $10. I pictured carmex next to the lipstick because the texture of it is really matte more so than a MAC mattle lipstick which is good because it stays put but I put a little carmex on it to moisturize a bit before I put on the lipstick because otherwise it feels a bit dry. I’m really impressed with Topshop’s makeup range and I love the fact that they update every season just like their collections. You also know it has to be good if they sell it at luxury-quirky-goods retailer Colette. Do you get obsessed with finding colors or am I the only one? maybe finding a perfect red or something?

This is how it looks with 3 layers

Just in case you were dying to see me wearing the new Chanel Rouge Allure in Rouge Noir that is so popular right now here it is. I left the middle of my bottom lip a bit bare to give me more of a 3D effect. I’m also wearing Chanel’s Notorious Ombre Blush (the real one) that I duped here. I really like that both the blush and the lipstick are buidable and you can wear as much, or as little, as you want. The woman at the store told me that I could wear the blush over my regular bronzer that I use to contour to add a bit of a statuesque look. Anyway I am really in love with the lipstick but I was happy to know that for the moment I’ve got MAC ‘Diva’ which is quite similar just a bit more red. Anyway what do you think about dark burgundy?

I’ve been looking for a nude lipstick for a while now. I have one that is nude-ish from MAC (‘Kinda Sexy’) but its more of a light pink. I really wanted to go for the Lana Del Rey sort of pale lips look but I went to MAC to try and find one but they were too pale for my skintone, they almost looked white. I have tried using concealer as lipstick and that worked but I wanted an actual lipstick. Then I found this Kate Moss for rimmel lipstick in 26 and I thought it’s the perfect color. You can see below in the picture that I’ve posted of me with feathers on my face, for your enjoyment. Of course you can’t tell so much because it’s nude but its really moisturizing and smells really good and the best price is that it’s £5! You can find it at Boots or Target I would assume (it’s cheaper in dollars!). Anyway do you know of any good nudes?
I use a range of different Makeup from high street to department store but one of my favorites is MUA because its soo cheap most of their range is 1£. I also always get complimented when I wear their lipsticks!!!! So this is my little review/test for you.
The Contenders:
Shade 13, Shade 12, Shade3 , Shade 15, Shade 16

The Corals:
Shade 15-Juicy and Shade 16- Nectar
These two are quite similar in color and I love them for a coral nude. Since they do stick on every crack of your lip because I feel they are more like a balm I put on some nivea cream then a little bit of foundation before putting them on.

The Pinks:
Shade 3, Shade 12
These two pinks are soo cute. Shade 3 is bright pink and is a good day alternative to red. Check this post out for another view of the color! This one doesn’t dry out your lips and last quite long but it does transfer easily! Shade 12 is pink with glitter in it and it is buildable. You can layer it for a darker pink or keep it simple.

RED:
Shade 13
Finally there is Red! I love this color. It is bright red and I swear I get random people asking me where I bought this. Also I have had to buy it for so many of my firiends from the states. This one doesn’t dry out your lips and last quite long but it does transfer easily! Check out this other post for another view of this color!
What are your fave summer colors? Do you have any cheapies? Or even expensive ones that you really like?
