Make like Kate Moss & Wear Big Colorful Earrings

I love magazines and always have because they are mini books that capture the time whether we like it or not. That said, whenever I read a magazine there is always a little bit of beauty or fashion inspiration that I take with me. In the case for British Vogue’s  June 2013 issue it was Kate Moss’ Editorial, but not just anything about it,  it was her signature look 60s  combined with large, bright earrings on all of the pages. Oddly enough nowhere on the pages did it say anything about the earrings which is what most stood out to me from the shoot. I think we should all go out this weekend with eyeliner beach hair and  large, bright earrings. Or At least on holiday. These are the types of earring you can find at  ASOS or Forever21 for under $20. I think it gives your summer look a bit of exotic beach energy. What do you think?

Tiara headbands are the winter equivalent of wearing flowers in your hair.

Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2012 Image from Here

Because it’s Monday and we need something pretty to look at because tomorrow is Tuesday, here is something cute you can add to your hair that will remind you of Summer.  Ever since I saw them in the Fall/Winter 2012 runway,  I knew I wanted to do something with these magical headbands but also  know that its not that practical to wear these princess be-jwelled headbands on your head. Then I found this one for about $3 and it just looked antique and dainty so I got it. It really does make me feel like a princess. It doesn’t overtake your head and take a lot of  attention but it gives you an old world charm I think. Anyway I will be wearing this until I can wear flowers in my hair in the summer! How are you?

Bralets – How do you wear those?

Far from the nineties bare midriff (thank you!) comes the crop top trend. I know a lot of us are hesitant to try it because  of all the bare skin but  this trend can be quite flattering if worn the right way.

How to wear

The great thing about the bralet is that you can show as much or as little skin as you like (relatively). You should pick a crop top that flatters your body and doesn’t have you spilling over in the bra or underarm area. Then choose a high waisted skirt, A-line like Selena is wearing is great because it has a cinching effect on your waist. Remember you can get a longer crop top or a higher waist to show the amount of skin that you like. Also there are some nice matching printed skirt and top similar to those at Dolce & Gabbana for a fraction of  the price here.  Add a blazer for a bit more coverage. What do you think is this a yay or a nay? I’m going to try this…I’ll report back to you.

DIY: Dolce and Gabbana inspired heels

I don’t know if many of you have realized it but I am OBSESSED with shoes! Sometimes I have more shoes than I have clothes. Anyway I had been lusting over these Dolce and Gabbana heels because they remind me of the ones Dorothy wears in the Wizard of Oz. Anyway I found this tutorial at Love, Maegan I will definitely be making these (and posting them!) What do you think about them?
