My DIY Jil Sander Market Bag. (for real this time)

Remember back in February when I did this post on a DIY  Jil Sander Market bag and it was just taking a plastic bag. Well today I saw an old woman carrying what looked like a floral fabric Jil Sander bag and I was instantly convinced I was going to make one! I remember seeing this post by Style Hurricane and went back to it for inspiration. I took some fabric  that I was going to use to make a skirt and made this bag using these instructions! It was actually super simple (besides a couple of fights with the sewing machine) and you can even sew it by hand. I might take style hurricane’s suggestion and make a leather one as well.  I will “model” this for you later when I can convince my bf to take a picture of me! What do you think?

Bits of my room…

Hello there!

I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t wanted to neglect the blog but i’ve seen so much inspiration around that I am building it up! Anyway thought I would get more intimate with you girls and show you parts of my room! Since we live in a big house with a ton of people that is already furnished there isn’t too much I can do to decorate since its already jam packed but anyway these are little things I have done. P.S. THe one thing I do like is the pale pink walls!

If I had $10k+ to donate to charity…I would get a Birkin Bag! + DIY (Kind of)

Birkin bag being auctioned

So you probably have all heard but for those of you that haven’t: Jane Birkin (60-70s style  icon) who inspired the Hermes Birkin Bag in  1981 is auctioning off on ebay her very own Birkin bag (i’m sure she’s had many) that she has worn and traveled with over the past few years. The coolest part is that all of the proceeds go to the Japan Earthquake relif fund and  you get a piece of celebrity/bag history! The bag looks pretty cool especially if you love vintage bags! Here is the bag in her own words:

THINK DIY

“There’s no fun in a bag if it’s not kicked around, so that it looks as if the cat’s been sitting on it—and it usually has. The cat may even be in it! I always put on stickers and beads and worry beads. You can get them from Greece, Israel, Palestine—from anywhere in the world. I always hang things on my bags because I don’t like them looking like everyone else’s. I never have more than one bag at a time. I think one is already quite enough. Also, I hate changing bags, so I never have the thing of having ten bags. Any bag that’s with me will take the same course as I will. It will take the same airplanes and will be squashed in the same way and will be used as a cushion in the airports.”

DIY Isabel Marant Shorts!

So I had been obsessed with Isabel Marant’s moto style lace-up  shorts (seen below) and since I didn’t have the cash to shell out for those,  I was stoked when ASOS had some similar skinny jeans that I bought one size larger and cut into shorts! What do you think about them?

I paired them with a men’s River Island Knit jumper and French Connection Boots! Oh Yeah and thanks to the ever so lovely Ross @ Jones and Payne (London)  for blowdrying my hair isn’t it lovely!

Love,
Natalia
