This product is like a laser in a bottle. Honestly.

clearista_review_londonFor those of you who know me or have been reading my blog for awhile you know that often times when I like a product I will go on about it as if I’m being paid –  Clearista Retexturizing Gel is definitely one of those products.

I first became interested in Clearista when I read that it is being funded by the venture capital arm of the CIA (Yes, really!) so I did a bit of research…

Clearista’s claim is that it is ‘a scientifically proven way to resurface skin’ what does that mean?

Clearista ingredients target the skin to reduce these issues that you would normally require a laser treatment like pigmentation (brown spots), acne, skin roughness.

After reading all the rave reviews, as well as seeing the incredible before and after pictures, I decided to give it a go as it was only $52 (about £40) in comparison to the £200 & up cost of a laser treatment.

My Mom’s Experience

Since my mom was lovely enough to ship it to me (I wanted to avoid the $20 international postage) I bought her a tube as well and asked her to let me know what she thought. Imagine my surprise when a few days after receiving the product I received a full on review via Whatsapp informing me that the brown spot above her eye had nearly completely faded. She also said that she had received several compliments about her skin and begged me to send her more. I don’t think I have ever seen her so excited about a product.

My experience

I use this product in the same way I would use an exfoliator – two to three times per week. It’s got little exfoliant jojoba balls. After cleansing and drying my face, I massage this product onto my skin and leave it on before washing off and popping on a mask. I can definitely feel that my skin is softer and small little brown spots on my face have faded. Immediately after using it my skin feels wonderfully soft  The best part is that it’s non irritating and quite gentle on my skin.

Have you tried it?
