Max Factor Makes the Best Mascaras

Before you start to read this you must know that I never ever used to buy drugstore makeup unless I was desperate (dramatic but true). I still don’t buy foundation from the drugstore. That said when it comes to mascara I’ve tried everything from Diorshow, Benefit, Too Faced – basically everything that you can get from Sephora. That was until I met Max Factor mascaras…for those of you in the US you may want to stop reading because they are not stocked there. For those of you that are not in the US and like mascaras that lengthen and give you a false lash effect keep reading.

Two years ago at one of the CEW events, I got a huge bag full of products ranging from high street to premium. In this bag, I noticed a Max Factor mascara and I thought rather than give it away, I might as well keep it as back up for those days when I run out of Mascara and have not had a chance to buy a new one. Well that day came and went and since then I have never gone back. I am converted; it seems every formula I try from them is better than the next. Max Factor mascaras are lengthening, volumizing, don’t run and are half the price of department store mascaras £7.99-£10.99.  See below for my top three:

This is my every day Mascara, It’s great because with 1-3 coats I’ve got a full look so it’s perfect when you like volume but don’t have a lot of time in the morning. Brush is thin with long bristles so you can get to the bottom of the lash and create a tightline effect.

Voluptuous False Lash Effect Mascara £11.99

The brush on this one is interesting. The bristles are short and it has a swirl effect. This brush promises to give you a 3D effect and coat all of your lashes. I like it because you can apply several coats and the volume is decent but I like 1 and 2 best.

Velvet Volume False Lash Effect Mascara £11.99

This is probably my favourite mascara. It’s so buildable (see below after one coat) for a very natural look and after about 10 coats (above) for a very full defined but clean look. I use this mascara when I have a bit more time because it creates a really nice effect but takes a bit longer to apply.
