Why yes, I will help your cause by purchasing a bag that I already wanted!
I love pull tab bags because I think they look fashionable, arty and chic all at the same time. I like them so much that I had my crafty mom make me a bag and this is why I know they are a lot of work. You have to first collect all the pull tabs (about 250 cans of coke or beer for the clutch) then you essentially embroider them on to the bag, which is a lot of work. Bottletop has collaborated with (RED) to make these super cute bags.
‘Bottletop are a luxury accessories brand Founded by Cameron Saul ( son of Roger Saul founder of Mulberry) and Oliver Wayman. The brand has an ethical ethos as all bags are handmade in Brazil from recycled ring pulls and they are made by local women empowering women in developing countries to have livelihoods.’
I really can’t resist when brands work with charities and give back to the community its like an incentive for me to shop! In this case its Bono’s charity Red Rush you know (RED). Come on, recycling, empowering women and getting a stylish bag? Also the prices are very decent considering all the work that goes into them. The clutch bag at the top (which I have been eyeing) goes for £65. What do you think about these?
