How to wear a Pencil Skirt and Look Casual

Okay everyone I apologize for taking another long hiatus but I have graduated and now I have my masters!!! Things should be back to normal although now that I’m not a student I guess I have to find a new normal for myself!

The other day I was walking down the street and I saw a girl wearing a pencil skirt and I loved how she made it look feminine but casual. I like pencil skirts and I think they are very flattering but most of the time I feel like I can only wear them with heels or make them look very feminie and a lot of the time I just don’t feel like looking uber feminen. Anyway this girl was wearing a tweed pale pink pencil skirt with a loose white v-neck t-shirt tucked in and just thong sandals. I thought this is such a perfect simple outfit that looks casual and feminine. Below are the two models I’ve styled on HM.com, Have you tried that its pretty cool!
