DIY Safety Pin Belt

In high school I used to wear a safety pin bracelet to keep me “safe” and I thought it fit with my skater punk style then. I used to wear them pinned together like a chain. When I saw this DIY at LoveMaegan It brought back memories!

What you need

60+ Safety pins in your preferred size

elastic with the thickness corresponding to the safety pin size

pin and needle to sew the elastic together

 

DIY Punk Converse

Saw this image for ELLE via StuddedHearts and thought it would be cool  (can you tell I have a one-track mind). What do you think about these?

What you need:

Converse All-Star

Studs you can buy these on ebay or at a craft store

What to do:

Once you have the studs you can place them all over your converse or you can do it with lines that are all equally spaced.

Are Sneakers Chic?

okay okay I decided to take a really long hiatus from the blog and from reading blogs. I had been busy with christmas at home, holiday in Mexico and all the while writing papers. Now I’m in NYC for a class trip and Im just about ready to settle down and not travel for a couple of months!

On another note: I have been wanting to get some sneakers I guess it’s a new trend that I have been seeing around. It was quite funny because my friend Katriona bought some a couple of months ago and I thought ‘okay she just wants to be comfy’ but now I realize she was ahead of the trend! What do you guys think? I’m a bit worried that I will get too casual if I start wearing sneakers (then come t-shirts with jeans and sweatshirts)….it is very tempting though…a comfortable trend…I’ll let you know how it goes…
